Baker botts virus

The Houston-based law firm told Bloomberg Law that its summer program will begin no earlier than June 15th in light of health and safety concerns following the virus outbreak. Baker Botts also announced that it is extending offers to its summer associates, with 1Ls receiving an offer to return next summer and 2Ls receiving full-time employment offers at the firm, contingent on academic performance.

Baker Botts is the latest law firm to offer positions to its incoming summer class without the customary seasonal try-out, an unusual move driven by the challenging circumstances created by the virus, which has forced many Big Law firms to go remote.
