Logitech webcam im driver

What gives? Monday, October 16, AM. Oh well Monday, October 16, PM. I have a Logitech Quickcam Zoom and this is how I got it to work: 1. Install QuickCam bit Version: When you get to the camera detection part where it asks you to plug in your camera, plug it into a new usb port if you had it plugged in when you installed Vista and just press skip.

Windows may try and find the driver for it, you can cancel that too. Install the old QuickCam software Version: 8. Go to the windows orb former start button , open control panel, go to system, then on the top left of the window click device manager. Find the unknown usb device hopefully you only have one Press OK or whatever, and let it install. Mine didn't even need to reboot and worked with the Still need to test with Skype and Live Messenger though. Wednesday, February 14, PM.

Friday, February 16, PM. It did work for me too, I'm under Vista Ultimate and using Quickcam zoom. Thank you so much, I almost ordered another Webcam.

Saturday, February 17, AM. Thank you very very very much. Works like a charm here. Don't have to wait for logitech to give me the proper drivers. Sunday, April 15, PM. Hello i saw you post very nice but i could not make it work? Tuesday, April 17, PM. Azural, You're the nuts mate. Ta much. Works perfect with Skype as well! Wednesday, May 2, AM. It works!!! Thursday, May 10, PM. Saturday, May 12, AM. Tuesday, May 22, PM. Brilliant stuff Friday, May 25, AM. Worked like a charm, with one small difference.

When I updated the drivers in control panel, instead of selecting the PRO2 folder, I had to let Windows search the entire Logitech folder. I love the option to include subfolders in driver searches. It makes things a helluva lot easier. Thanks again, you are the man! Friday, June 1, AM. Hi guys, Can somebody be kind to upload those two files mentioned by Azural in some place? Apparently Logitech has changed their website and now the file is not available anymore..

Saturday, June 2, AM. Note that you may choose another language for example qcesp. Myabe you've to restart. Windows will try to find the drivers. Saturday, June 16, PM.

It works perfectly with the newest QuickCam v Wonderful help mate, you are the greatest!!! Tuesday, June 26, PM. Has anyone had this work with YIM!? Although I get a preview on my side, the recipient side always gets a black box.

After 3 seconds, the sound drops out of calls made via Yahoo! Tuesday, July 3, PM. After the driver installed, no sound would come out of my speakers, almost like the install messed around with the codecs. No sound would occur, even from startup, WMP or anything else. Wednesday, July 4, PM. You're a good person Azural and you'll definitely go to heaven!! I have a Logitech Quickcam Zoom as well white sphere with blue visor which Logitech says "won't work with Vista".

It worked fine on my old PC with WinXP and had zoom and motion detection, so was great for home security. I was prepared to buy a new camera for Vista, however, Logitech's current range appears to have been dumbed down and there's nothing with these features.

So I followed your instructions to get it working on my new Vista PC: 1. Installed QuickCam bit Version v Voila - the Quickcam Zoom now works fine on Vista. Unfortunately, Ill0gitech's current quickcam software range has much less functionality than the old Image Studio that I had before the new stuff seems to be designed only for kiddies with IM 5. Now my faithful old Quickcam Zoom is happily cruising along on Vista doing pretty much what it used to - no thanks to the marketing geniuses at illogiteck 7.

When you launch Blue Iris, the Logitech desktop shortcut thingie will pop up just ignore it, or exit it 9. You can launch either the Logitech Webcam application OR Blue Iris, however, if you launch Logitech Webcam first, then try to launch Blue Iris, Blue Iris may say "Camera not Connected" because the Logitech Webcam application grabbed it first; however, you can run both applications simultaneously if you want, provided you launch Blue Iris first.

Proposed as answer by m Saturday, October 2, PM. Saturday, August 4, AM. Oh my God! I've been trying to get my Quickcam Zoom installed on Vista for about 2 months now. It's OK, but I liked the Logitech much better. You are a true lifesaver Azural. Thanks so much. I love you man! Sunday, August 12, AM.

I have windows vista 64 bit but can't find driver. Saturday, August 25, PM. It looks like they might have taken down the qcen or qcenu file. I'm running xp x64 and I suspect that this fix'll do the trick if I can get a hold of those files..

Sunday, August 26, AM. Sunday, August 26, PM. The third screen was what happened when I tried to reply to the most recent post. Monday, August 27, PM. Thank you, this was VERY helpful! Sunday, September 2, AM. Unpack Drivers dir using Rar or 7z 3. Select Logitech QuickCam Pro and continue with installation. Also I suppose this will work with Vista x64 but I don't have one at hand to try out. Sunday, September 9, AM. I have a question for you. I went to the wite on your step 1, but could not locate what you are talking about.
